| This black cemetery is right next door to the Confederate Cemetery, although I'm not sure of the name of the cemetery, if there is one. The headstones are all very old and parts of the cemetery are very overgrown, although at the time of the visit, it seemed to have been recently mowed. The headstone in the picture above is dated 1861, so it's possible that other graves are even older. Some graves are hidden under brush and bushes, so its definitely fun to hunt for headstones that are hidden. If you do decide to ever visit, it's right down the road from the Keachi Women's College. |
